Philip Santo has over 40 years of experience as a residential surveyor and valuer.
He has undertaken a range of project work with RICS, including significant contributions to Guidance Notes and other initiatives.
Japanese knotweed
Philip is acknowledged as a leading expert on the Diminution in Value of residential properties affected by Japanese knotweed.
He was technical author of the RICS Professional Standard Japanese knotweed and Residential Property published in 2022.
He acts as RICS media spokesperson on the subject and has appeared as an Expert in Court, representing claimants and defendants.
Training
Philip is a regular presenter on a range of topics at conferences, training seminars and online.
He writes for a number of professional publications and it the author of two practice guides published by Routledge, Inspections and Reports on Dwellings: Inspecting and Inspections and Reports on Dwellings: Assessing Age.
